Full job description

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.5 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We currently have an opportunity available on our team for a customer-focused, energetic live-in Assistant Resident Manager at One Oak Street in Dartmouth. This position will entail up to 20 hours of cleaning per week, and participation in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities:

Shared on-call responsibilities;
Cleaning duties, including daily and weekly tasks;
Tenant relations, inquiries and rental calls;
First-line problem solving to manage tenant issues and build relations;
Some administrative tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in cleaning, and customer service;
Strong communication and time management skills;
Ability to work well in a team environment with minimum supervision;
Previous experience with Property Management industry and/or as a building superintendent is an asset.
