Location: Calgary, AB | Employment Type: Full-time | Office, Remote

Filtrum Infrastructure Inc, headquartered in Calgary, AB, and affiliated with Filtrum Inc from Quebec City, continues to increase its presence throughout Canada and is looking to expand our staff in both Calgary and Halifax offices.

Since 1980, Filtrum has specialized in engineered water and wastewater treatment systems and environmental infrastructure. We provide leading-edge, cost-effective solutions - from design through to procurement, installation, automation, and commissioning- for both municipal and industrial clients.

Our expertise includes:

Mechanical process systems for drinking water distribution and wastewater sanitation
Environmental infrastructure, such as biogas recovery, leachate treatment, and landfill systems
In-house stainless-steel piping fabrication and advanced automation and instrumentation solutions

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Execution Director you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the projects assigned to you.

You will:

Read and interpret plans and specifications to gain an understanding of the project scope.
Meet with the Estimating Group to expand on the above and ensure an in depth understanding of the Scope and Budget of the project.
Prepare, monitor and maintain project schedule
Purchase materials and equipment
Negotiate and complete sub-contracts with subtrades
Co-ordinate with superintendents and site personnel to ensure project delivery targets are met.
Prepare Execution and Commissioning Plans
Co-ordinate and review General Arrangement and Fabrication drawings
Co-ordinate with our Fabrication Shop to ensure fabrication and timely delivery of materials to site
Manage the Change Order process.
Ensure compliance with the standards and laws in force.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the various project stakeholders.
Participate in the development of safe work procedures and promote a safe working environment on all your projects
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and prepare weekly reports on the status of your projects
Using the company financial platform monitor the financial status of your projects and prepare monthly reports
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, work with co-ordinators to ensure timely preparation and submittal of all project close-out documentation.

Qualifications

This position is ideally suited to an individual possessing an Engineering degree with 5 – 10 years of progressive project management experience.

Engineering Degree; other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
5-10 years of relevant experience
Proven high level ability to set priorities and multitask is essential to your success in this position
Adaptability and resourcefulness in the dealing with challenges
Strong knowledge of MS Project, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
A Team player with strong organizational and communication skills
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel

Working Conditions

Hybrid work arrangement: mix of office, remote, and on-site work
Travel required; mileage and travel reimbursement provided.
