Notre entreprise basée à Montréal, au Québec, à la recherche d'un(e) chef comptable pour se joindre à notre équipe dynamique et en pleine croissance.

LE RÔLE
Le ou la chef comptable est responsable du cycle comptable complet pour notre groupe d'entreprises œuvrant dans divers secteurs (hôtellerie, fabrication et construction). Vous dirigerez les rapports financiers, superviserez les opérations comptables quotidiennes, assurerez la conformité aux exigences fiscales et réglementaires du Québec, et agirez comme partenaire financier clé auprès de la direction et des propriétaires.

Il s'agit d'un rôle de leadership pratique, convenant à une personne qui excelle dans un environnement en constante évolution, autonome, capable de bien travailler de façon indépendante et de gérer et prioriser sa propre charge de travail en conséquence.

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

Assurer une tenue de livres et une comptabilité complètes et précises pour 2 à 3 entreprises, incluant les écritures des transactions quotidiennes et des charges à payer de fin de mois, aux fins de rapports internes, externes et fiscaux.
Gérer les comptes payables et les comptes recevables, et être responsable des cycles de paiement des fournisseurs pour l'ensemble des entreprises, y compris la configuration des paiements et des transferts sur la plateforme bancaire en ligne.
Effectuer le processus de clôture mensuelle, incluant les rapprochements de comptes, les écritures de journal, l'équilibrage des soldes intersociétés, les charges à payer et la conversion des devises étrangères.
Préparer les états financiers mensuels et les rapports internes, incluant l'état des résultats, le bilan et l'analyse des flux de trésorerie, en produisant régulièrement des analyses financières des résultats d'exploitation mensuels pour les propriétaires.
Préparer les renseignements et les déclarations pour les rapports fiscaux externes trimestriels et annuels, incluant les impôts sur le revenu des sociétés et les acomptes provisionnels, les déclarations et acomptes de TVQ et TPS, ainsi que les déclarations de paie.
Préparer les dossiers de travail de fin d'exercice pour nos comptables externes, et les assister lors de la vérification de fin d'exercice et des déclarations fiscales des sociétés.
Élaborer, documenter et faire respecter les contrôles internes et les politiques comptables, et identifier les occasions d'optimiser et de renforcer les systèmes et processus financiers à l'échelle du groupe.
Contribuer à des projets spéciaux selon les besoins.

EXIGENCES

Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un domaine connexe (titre de CPA un atout).
5 ans ou plus d'expérience progressive en comptabilité, dont au moins 2 ans dans un poste supérieur ou de supervision.
Connaissance solide et à jour des exigences fiscales, de paie et réglementaires du Québec et du Canada (TPS/TVQ, retenues à la source, MEV/SRM, CNESST).
Expérience démontrée dans la gestion du cycle comptable complet et de la clôture mensuelle.
Maîtrise du logiciel comptable QuickBooks Online (QBO) et des logiciels Microsoft Outlook, Word et PowerPoint. Compétences avancées avec Microsoft Excel.
Grand souci du détail, solides compétences organisationnelles, et capacité à gérer plusieurs entités et échéances simultanément.
Français et anglais professionnels, à l'écrit comme à l'oral.

Our company based in Montreal, Quebec, looking for a Chief Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-growing team.

THE ROLE

The Chief Accountant owns the full accounting cycle across our group of companies in various industries (Hospitality, Manufacturing and Construction). You will lead financial reporting, oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with Quebec tax and regulatory requirements, and act as a key financial partner to ownership and management.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a frequently changing environment, a self-starter who works well independently and is able to prioritize and manage their own workload accordingly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain complete and accurate bookkeeping and accounting for 2 to 3 companies, including entries for daily transactions and month-end accrued expenses, for internal, external, and tax reporting purposes.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, responsible for vendor and supplier payment cycles across all companies, including setting up payments and transfers in the online banking platform.
Carry out the monthly close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, balancing of inter-company account balances, accruals and foreign currency translation.
Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis, producing regular financial analysis of monthly operating results for ownership.
Prepare information and filings for quarterly and annual external tax reporting, including business income taxes and instalments, QST and GST filings and instalments, and payroll filings.
Preparation of the year end working paper files for our external accountants, and assisting them with the year-end audit and corporate tax filings.
Develop, document, and enforce internal controls and accounting policies, as well as identify opportunities to streamline and strengthen financial systems and processes across the group.
Contribute to special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA an asset).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong, current knowledge of Quebec and Canadian tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements (GST/QST, source deductions, MEV/SRM, CNESST).
Demonstrated experience owning full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
Proficiency with Accounting Software (Quickbooks QBO Online) and Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint software. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel;
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines simultaneously.
Professional written and spoken French and English
