Dairy Lane Systems started in 1990 as a Surge milking equipment dealer. Since that time, we have expanded our scope to include automated milking robots, stabling, manure management, plumbing and ventilation services. Most recently, we acquired 2 milking equipment dealerships in Western Canada. In addition to the milking equipment sales, service and installation business, we are also involved in the design, build and operation of renewable energy biogas plants (DLS Biogas), the construction of agricultural structures (DLS Structures) and the manufacturing of dairy farm equipment (DLS Manufacturing).

The successful candidate will be motivated and detail-oriented who will work with our dynamic team to ensure the smooth and efficient movement, storage and distribution of materials within the fabrication shop/yard. Most of this work will be performed outdoors in all types of weather.

Job requirements
Load, unload trailers, move and properly store materials in our fabrication shop and yard
Operate forklifts, cranes, payloaders and other material handling equipment safely
Organize and store materials in designated area/locations
Work closely with fabrication shop team to maintain efficient workflow
Follow safety procedures and maintain and clean, organized work environment at all times
Skills and qualifications
2 - 3 years of previous forklift experience
1 - 2 years of manufacturing experience
Background in agriculture/dairy operations a definite asset
Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise
Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day and perform physical tasks that my require climbing, lifting, pushing, bending/stooping; some loads require physical labour to ensure they are secure to move
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize your workload meeting strict deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction
Ability to work unsupervised and take complete ownership of the job
Strong communication skills and work ethic
A sense of urgency and ability to take initiative is required
Valid G license with clean abstract
Compensation commensurate with experience
