Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative HVAC products using CAD software.
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation to industry standards.
- Build, test, evaluate, and refine prototypes to ensure performance, manufacturability, and compliance.
- Work hands-on with products throughout the development process to validate designs and identify improvements.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to move products from concept through certification and commercial production.
- Support product testing, certification, and regulatory compliance.
- Work with manufacturing teams and suppliers to optimize product design for efficient production.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and manufacturing partners.
- Troubleshoot design and production issues while driving continuous product improvement.
- Contribute innovative ideas that improve product performance, reliability, and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with CAD software and the ability to create production-ready manufacturing drawings.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and design for manufacturability.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, test, and refine prototypes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC product design or related mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid flow, and airflow principles.
- Experience supporting product certification and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with product development from concept through commercialization.
- Experience working with suppliers, fabricators, and manufacturing vendors.
