Job Posting – Concrete Batch Mixer Operator

Location: Chepstow, ON – In person

Wage: $23.28 - $29.38 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills in concrete batching, mixing operations, and heavy equipment operation.

Fritz-Alder Precast is a leader in innovative precast concrete solutions, serving a diverse range of customers with quality, precision, and technical expertise. We are currently seeking a Concrete Batch Mixer Operator to join our team in Chepstow, Ontario.

What You'll Do

As a Concrete Batch Mixer Operator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality concrete while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

Job Responsibilities

Produce high-quality concrete to meet production standards and specifications.
Perform pre- and post-batching inspections of conveyors and mixers.
Batch concrete using batching software, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Monitor concrete quality through visual inspections and batch reporting analysis.
Manage on-site inventory of raw materials, ensuring timely procurement and proper storage.
Communicate effectively with the Production Foreperson and Quality Control (QC) staff regarding daily targets and expectations.
Ensure mixers and conveyors are emptied after batching operations.
Maintain open communication with management as required.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of batch plants.
Operate loaders occasionally, as needed.

Job-Related Skills, Interests, and Values

Read and interpret blueprints and follow mix designs with precision.
Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to production schedules.
Participate in daily/weekly Production and Scheduling Meetings.
Complete Field Level Risk Assessments prior to each task to ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma is preferred

Experience:

Precast concrete experience is considered an asset.
Previous experience in batching and mixing operations is preferred.

Competencies:

Safety-oriented mindset.
Strong attendance, punctuality, and self-motivation.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a fast-paced, high-production environment.
Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
Effective communication skills.
