Full job description

Duz Cho is looking for multiple skilled and motivated red seal mechanics in both Chetwynd BC, and Mackenzie BC, to join our team. If you think you have what it takes to join a dynamic team and become a lifetime member of a growing team, please apply without haste.

Duz Cho is a 100% Indigenous owned company, with ownership belonging to McLeod Lake Indian Band. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the diverse cultures and histories of local Indigenous communities. They must have demonstrated experience in applying Indigenous knowledge in a professional setting, adhering to cultural protocols, and working with a culturally safe approach. Knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) Calls to Action and a commitment to advancing reconciliation are essential.

Available Positions: Chetwynd BC

Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic (2) – Shift is 7 days on / 7 days off at $50/hour.

Available Positions: Mackenzie BC

Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic (1) – Shift is 7 days on / 7 days off at $50/hour.
Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic (1) – Shift is Monday-Friday at $50/hour.
Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic on road (1) - Shift is 14 days on / 7 days off at $45/hour.
Red Seal Automotive Mechanic (2) - Shift is 7 days on / 7 days off at $45/hour.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty equipment and trucks.
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled servicing.
Repair and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brakes, drivetrains, and related components.
Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service information.
Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and maintenance records.
Respond to field service calls in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
Identify potential equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain service truck inventory, tools, and equipment.
Follow all company and industry safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with customers, operators, and management.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
Experience working independently in field service environments.
Ability to safely lift, carry, and work around heavy equipment.
Strong understanding of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Red Seal Certificate.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and potentially physical fitness testing.
Valid drivers licence and clean abstract.
