We’re supporting a growing engineering and design team as they look to add a Senior Telecommunications OSP Designer to support delivery across a high-volume telecom infrastructure program.
This is a hands-on senior design role focused on complex OSP work across fibre, civil, cable and pole-line design. You’ll work independently across multiple design types while collaborating closely with project managers, field teams, drafters, engineers and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Working On
Reporting to the Manager, Operations, you will be responsible for creating and managing telecommunications OSP design projects from intake through to construction-ready delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating OSP designs across civil, cable and pole-line scopes for fibre networks, including GPON/FTTP, copper, coax and HFC systems
- Preparing 2-D CAD drawings, construction-ready design packages, redlines and supporting documentation
- Managing design projects from planning through completion, including status tracking, issue resolution and stakeholder coordination
- Applying industry standards and specifications to ensure designs are accurate, compliant and buildable
- Supporting QA/QC reviews and maintaining strong design quality across project deliverables
- Assisting and mentoring junior designers as the team continues to growns.
What They’re Looking For
- 5+ years of drafting/design experience within civil, utility or telecommunications projects
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and SpatialNet
- Working knowledge of OSP design methods, including GPON, FTTx, MDU, civil, copper, pole lines, feeder fibre, coax and HFC
- Ability to work across multiple design types and adapt to new project requirements
- Strong understanding of industry standards, constructability and design quality
- High attention to detail, with the ability to QA your own work and support review of others’ work
- Confident communicator who can clearly explain design decisions while remaining open to feedback
- Comfortable working in a high-output environment with changing priorities and timelines
- Proficiency with Google Suite or equivalent Microsoft applications

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated pay rate for this position is CAD $75,000-85,000 per annum as of the posting date, with flexibility for the right candidate. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
