HR & People Operations Coordinator

City Life Church & Highroad Academy | Chilliwack, BC

Are you someone who loves creating order, building great systems, and helping people thrive behind the scenes?

City Life Church and Highroad Academy are looking for an organized, detail-oriented HR & People Operations Coordinator to help support the people systems that serve our church and school communities.

This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity. You'll coordinate hiring, onboarding, employee records, contracts, HR systems, benefits, leave tracking, payroll coordination, and training—helping ensure our staff have an excellent experience from their first day through every stage of their employment.

You'll work closely with leaders across both the church and school while partnering with our Finance team to ensure our HR processes are accurate, consistent, and well organized.

What You'll Do

As our HR & People Operations Coordinator, you'll help coordinate and maintain many of the core people processes across the organization, including:

Coordinating hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes
Preparing employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding documentation
Maintaining accurate employee records and organizational reporting structures
Managing BambooHR and ensuring employee information remains current
Coordinating payroll-related employee changes with Finance
Supporting annual school contract administration
Coordinating employee benefits, vacation, sick leave, and other leave tracking
Maintaining HR documentation, policies, and personnel files
Supporting HR compliance and documentation requirements
Coordinating HR-related training and onboarding activities
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and organizational consistency

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and recurring deadlines
Trustworthy with confidential information
A strong communicator who enjoys serving others
Process-minded and naturally organized
Comfortable learning and working within HR systems such as BambooHR
Experienced in HR administration, people operations, payroll coordination, or office administration (preferred)
