Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Youth Workers to join our team. This role involves engaging with youth and supporting their development and well-being. The Youth Worker will create a positive, inclusive environment that fosters growth, learning, and social interaction. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of the youth.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging activities tailored to the needs of the youth.
Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to foster confidence and social skills
Assist in planning and facilitating educational and recreational programs
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
Monitor and document participant progress and behavior, reporting any concerns to supervisors
Promote positive behavior management strategies and conflict resolution techniques
Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity spaces

Qualifications

Experience working with children or individuals with specific needs.
Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds.
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young people
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a supportive environment for youth
Must be at least 25 years old or older
Must have a valid class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle.
Must clear a HUB application. (criminal record check to work with children and youth in BC)

This role is vital in supporting the growth and development of a young individual through engaging activities and dedicated mentorship. We value applicants who are passionate about making a positive impact in their community.

Pay: $25.50-$27.00 per hour
