Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the food service and hospitality industry, particularly within a hotel or restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Help with inventory management by organizing kitchen supplies and ensuring that all necessary ingredients are stocked.
Support the cooking staff during meal service by preparing items as needed and ensuring timely delivery of food to dining areas.
Follow all food safety and handling guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next day’s operations.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a hospitality setting.
Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus.
