Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated <PERSON>/Meat Cutter to join our team. This role involves preparing and cutting meat products with precision and adherence to food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in meat preparation and butchery, and will play a vital role in delivering high-quality products to our customers. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and customer service are essential.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and safety guidelines
Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and packaged following food safety standards
Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment
Package meat products accurately for retail display or wholesale distribution
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues

Skills

Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting or butchery
Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards
Skilled in food preparation techniques specific to meat products
Ability to operate knives, saws, and other butchery tools safely and efficiently
Excellent attention to detail for precise cuts and portioning
Good physical stamina for standing long hours and handling heavy loads
Customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
Kitchen experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food preparation environments

Pay: $18.25-$27.70 per hour
