Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Our Payroll Office is looking for a Business Analyst, Payroll who will be responsible for supporting payroll operations by troubleshooting system and data issues, responding to employee inquiries, and maintaining accurate documentation of payroll processes and system changes. Supports KPI tracking and reporting to ensure service level commitments are met, and serves as backup for payroll system testing, validation, and user support during upgrades, enhancements, and process changes.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
Completion of a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Process Improvement, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
- Demonstrated years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the transport or construction industry and / or the public sector
- National Payroll Institute (NPI) designation required would be an asset
Experience with time entry controls, validation and fraud deduction is an asset.
Working Knowledge of HCM Real Time Subject areas and OTBI from a reporting standpoint.
Proven Project delivery through full lifecycle from requirements through deployment and Support.
Experience with computerized quantitative and analytical tools (e.g. data modeling, workflows, and business process analysis) and with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
- Interpersonal, oral/written/presentation communication skills to document and present business needs, specifications, reports, project documents, and implementation plans.
