Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs, and fostering a love for learning. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to effectively serve diverse communities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working in a collaborative and supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's individual needs
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Collaborate with team members to develop individualized education plans for children with special needs or disabilities
Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing necessary accommodations
Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and safety standards
Use computer skills to document observations, prepare reports, and communicate with families electronically
Demonstrate leadership in guiding less experienced staff or interns when applicable
Manage classroom routines efficiently through strong organizational skills and time management

Experience

Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings or classrooms is essential
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education is highly desirable
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred to serve diverse populations effectively
Demonstrated teaching ability with a focus on early childhood development principles
Strong communication skills necessary for interacting with children, families, and team members
Familiarity with computer operation for documentation and communication purposes
Proven organizational skills to manage classroom activities, schedules, and records effectively
Experience in leadership roles or supervising other staff or interns is an asset

Pay: $25.86-$26.86 per hour
