Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team and help maintain and enhance outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor construction, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from garden maintenance to landscape installation, utilizing a variety of tools and machinery. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and possess a proactive approach to landscape care.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators for site preparation and construction projects
Install irrigation systems and troubleshoot issues to ensure proper watering of landscapes
Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, and other landscaping tasks
Assist with landscape construction projects, including grading, soil preparation, and hardscape installation
Conduct regular maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet client specifications
Monitor plant health and perform gardening tasks to promote healthy growth
Follow safety protocols during all operations involving mechanical or construction activities

Skills

Experience with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture practices
Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and plant care
Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of power tools and machinery
Ability to use hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks
Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor projects such as hardscaping or site grading
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or irrigation issues
Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
