We’re looking for a Bookkeeper.
You’re the kind of person who notices when something is off by $12.43—and you won’t let it go until you know why.
You like clean records, organized systems, and the quiet satisfaction of getting things exactly right. You’re dependable, thoughtful, and comfortable working independently. You don’t need someone hovering over your shoulder to stay on track, but you also know when to ask thoughtful questions.
You know bookkeeping is about more than data entry. Accurate books give business owners clarity and confidence, and you take pride in knowing your work plays an important part in that.
You’re not looking for a big, impersonal company where you’re just another name on a screen. You want to do meaningful work, be part of a supportive team, and keep growing your skills in bookkeeping.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.

Job Responsibilities
Success in this role looks like accurate books, timely follow-up, organized client files, and clean handoffs. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, catches issues before they become bigger problems, and communicates early when something needs attention.

Responsibilities include:
- Categorize and record financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and troubleshoot reconciliation discrepancies
- Review transactions for accuracy and completeness
- Review and code receipts in HubDoc
- Request missing documentation and information from clients through our client portal and follow up as needed

- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to your responsibilities as needed
- Stay current on bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals relevant to your work
- Handle general administrative tasks related to the bookkeeping workflow
- Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately safeguard sensitive client and financial information
While these are the primary responsibilities of the role, responsibilities may evolve as Bellamy Bookkeeping grows.
