Garden Maintenance Technician

Collingwood, ON

Full-Time, Seasonal (August–November)
40 hours per week | $21–$24 per hour

About the Role

Plum Gardens is looking for motivated, outdoor-loving individuals to join our Garden Maintenance team. You’ll work alongside a supportive crew maintaining beautiful residential gardens in Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, and surrounding areas.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a job well done, and loves being outside in all seasons.

What You’ll Do

Maintain gardens through weeding, cultivating, edging, raking, and watering
Deadhead flowers and prune shrubs and small trees
Plant flowers and bulbs
Apply mulch, soil, and fertilizer
Perform physically demanding garden work, including digging and lifting
Maintain tools and assist with trailer loading
Represent Plum Gardens professionally and positively with clients

Schedule

August to late November
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Occasional weekends required due to weather-related schedule changes

What We’re Looking For

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in changing weather
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Willing to learn and use hand and gas-powered gardening tools
Detail-oriented with good judgment and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Regular walking, bending, lifting, and carrying tools
Outdoor work in public-facing environments and varying conditions
