Due to an existing vacancy, we are looking for fulltime, permanent Advancement & Alumnae Coordinator who is a team player and who will be committed to Trafalgar’s vision. The Coordinator will assist the Advancement and Alumnae Department with administrative processes, support the Advancement Officer to create and build programs, and engage and build relationships with current and prospective families as well as with school alumnae. The salary range for this position is $41,000 - $61,000.
What you’ll be doing:
- Cultivate, build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (parents, faculty, staff, students and alumnae);
- Craft, design and distribute surveys to internal and external constituents.
- Oversee alumnae programs designed to foster and engage the alumnae community to maintain and develop lifelong associations with the School;
- Plan, implement and execute alumnae events: socials, university visits and reunions (occasional evenings and weekends);
- Develop and distribute materials to the alumnae community including print, email and social media;
- Collaborate with the Communications department to create messaging and graphics for social media campaigns, newsletters and events;
- Locate and contact lost alumnae and update their information as needed;
- Schedule and conduct campus tours for alumnae;
- Receive and process materials for the school’s archive;
- Design and distribute the monthly alumnae newsletter.
- Assist the Advancement Team in the development of robust prospect portfolios;
- Support with the identification and research of prospective donors;
- Supports the Advancement Officer with database administration and maintenance;
- Responsible for creation of the donor list for the Trafalgar Day program and Donor Impact Report;
- Plan and implement advancement events including donor recognition, volunteer and cultivation receptions and events (occasional evenings and weekends);
- Responsible for the annual update of constituents in the database.
- Liaison with the Parents’ Guild to facilitate their initiatives.
You have:
- Post-secondary education and 2-3 years of relevant experience in customer service or marketing
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector would be considered an asset
- Experience with Standard desktop software (e.g. MS Office), Mac, Google Apps Suite, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey and Edsby
- A high degree of diplomacy, tact and confidentiality
- A positive attitude, and an excellent communicator
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to problem-solve and multi-task
