Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and creating a positive shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or technology sales are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and sales opportunities.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs in a courteous manner
Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
Manage product demos and upselling opportunities to increase sales
Provide product information and technical sales support when needed
Maintain merchandising displays to ensure attractive presentation of products
Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication
Perform basic math calculations for transactions and pricing adjustments
Ensure efficient time management during busy hours to minimize wait times
Uphold organizational skills by keeping the checkout area clean and stocked
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting remote or in-store customers

Requirements

Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak English fluently; bilingual abilities are a plus
Experience with cashiering, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
Knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and customer service best practices
Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and sales calculations
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to engage in upselling and product demos effectively to boost sales
Strong time management skills to handle multiple customers efficiently during peak hours
Professional appearance and positive attitude; ability to work well within a team environment
Prior experience in technology or retail sales is advantageous but not required

Pay: $17.20-$28.94 per hour
