Full job description

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the cafeteria and catering program.

Supervise, support, and motivate a team of approximately 5 cafeteria staff members.
Ensure food is prepared, served, and presented according to company standards.
Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students, staff, and catering clients.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and food safety standards.
Run an efficient and successful catering program while balancing the daily demands of the cafeteria and catering services.
Efficiently manage and coordinate catering orders from preparation through to service, ensuring orders are accurate, on time, and meet customer expectations.
Complete daily cash handling and ensure accurate cash procedures are followed.
Monitor inventory and place orders as required.
Maintain appropriate food and labour costs and work within budget.
Ensure the cafeteria, kitchen, equipment, and storage areas are clean, organized, and maintained.
Follow all company, health and safety, and Board policies and procedures.
Assist with scheduling and staff coverage as needed.
Lead by example and remain hands-on during busy cafeteria and catering periods.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Address day-to-day operational issues and communicate concerns to the Operations Manager.
Run an efficient and successful catering program while balancing the daily demands of the cafeteria and supervising a team of approximately 5 staff members.
Build positive relationships with school staff, students, catering clients, and the school community.
