EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for an experienced, motivated, team-oriented individual to join our Geotechnical team as a Director. Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to effectively lead teams.

As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

Fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development

Developing and executing regional business development plans in collaboration with the Directors and Regional Leads

Attending/facilitating attendance of networking and industry events to secure new business opportunities

Engaging with existing and potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and showcase EnVision’s ability to support their projects and goals

Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety and quality

Manage, coordinate and provide technical direction to site investigation and geotechnical laboratory testing programs

Undertake geotechnical analyses and report on ground investigation findings and provide recommendations

Ensuring high quality of technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables

Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement

Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment

Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs

Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects

Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed

Any other functions assigned as part of your employment
To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

Background in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering
-
15+ years’ experience in Geotechnical consulting or similar field
-
Eligibility or licensed (preferred) as a P. Eng. or P. Geo. in Ontario

Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills

Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the years of relevant experience and qualifications that the successful candidate brings to the role.
