Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering student growth, and delivering engaging instruction across various age groups. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. Bilingual abilities and experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings are highly valued. The Teacher will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere.

Duties

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for early childhood or school-age students
Deliver engaging instruction in subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
Assess student progress through observations, tests, and assignments; provide constructive feedback
Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and active participation
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with special needs or disabilities
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to support student success
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and behavioral reports
Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes
Manage classroom behavior effectively using leadership and organizational skills
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; classroom experience preferred
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French or other languages are a plus
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and special education strategies
Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs
Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
Proficiency in computer operation and software relevant to education (e.g., educational platforms, word processing)
Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to foster a collaborative learning environment
Strong writing skills for lesson planning and documentation purposes
Valid certification or licensure in teaching or relevant educational credentials preferred
