Position Overview

The Project Controls Coordinator will report directly to the Project Controls Manager. This role will be responsible for providing Project Controls guidance and support to DNNP.

This role will begin as a 1 year contract with the possibility of extension

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is a full-service engineering, project management and construction provider operating across North America. Our experience spans all aspects of the nuclear market from carbon-free, small modular reactors to Department of Energy science, environmental and nuclear security mission capabilities. With these broad capabilities, we operate in the power utility, renewable energy, industrial and infrastructure markets.

Location

This role will be locating at the Darlington Nuclear Plant in Oshawa

Responsibilities

Provide support in developing, establishing, and maintaining the company's project cost/control systems.
Provide support in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and project baseline.
Provide support with the development of detailed, resource-loaded schedule.
Assist the project team in converting project bids to setting up the complete, accurate project baseline (budget, schedule).
Assist with the set-up of project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit).
Assist in ensuring all the contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, project tracking and reporting, and project closeout.
Assist in monitoring project performance and ensure that the project control system is properly implemented.
Generate all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.).
Assist in the review and analysis of the project schedule and cost reports and suggest corrective actions to maintain the project within anticipated cost and schedule.
Assist with the implementation of the change management procedures ensuring compliance with contract conditions and Aecon's standards.
Provide support to the project team in budget and forecast management during execution to accurately reflect project status.

Qualifications

3 - 5 years of related project controls construction experience.
College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.
Detail oriented, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated.
Thrive on a fast paced-environment.
Valid G driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Base Compensation: $75,000/yr - $90,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
