Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Childcare Kitchen Coordinator to lead the preparation and service of nutritious meals for children in our care. This vital role combines culinary skills with a passion for fostering a safe, clean, and welcoming food environment. As a key team member, you will ensure that all food is prepared according to safety standards, dietary needs are met, and meal times are enjoyable experiences for children. Your enthusiasm will help promote healthy eating habits and support the overall well-being of our young learners.

Responsibilities

Serve balanced, appealing meals and snacks tailored to children's dietary requirements.
Follow strict food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment at all times.
Collaborate with staff to coordinate meal schedules and ensure timely delivery during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, place orders as needed, and manage stock rotation efficiently.
Support the implementation of health standards related to food service in a childcare setting.
Help cover in classrooms during lunch hours

Requirements

Proven experience in serving or preparing food within a restaurant or food industry environment.
Childcare experience
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Previous experience working in childcare, education, or similar settings is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Certification or training in food safety is highly desirable.
