Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for the food industry to develop their skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Candidates should have prior experience in food service, kitchen operations, or related roles, and possess a strong commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and restaurant standards
Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations to prevent contamination
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste and ensure consistency in servings
Assist with inventory management by stocking ingredients and notifying management of supply needs
Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Adhere to food safety protocols at all times, including proper storage, labeling, and sanitation practices

Skills

Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment
Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety practices and sanitation requirements
Good communication skills to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality standards
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and familiarity with various kitchen equipment is preferred
