Position Overview:
At Ontario Hyundai, the Licensed (310S) Automotive Technician is an essential member of the service team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to meet dealership and manufacturer standards. This role ensures that customer vehicles are serviced accurately, efficiently, and safely with exceptional attention to detail and comprehensive technical and mechanical expertise.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct thorough inspections in accordance with dealership standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technology-based issues and complete repairs as outlined in repair orders.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission services, battery replacements, and headlight/taillight installations.
- Work closely with Service Advisors and the parts department to provide clear and timely updates on repair status, provide updates on additional repairs needed or delays encountered, and verify parts availability.
- Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation to support warranty claims.
- Conduct road tests on repaired vehicles to ensure proper functionality and quality of repairs; verify that vehicles are returned to customers in clean condition, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with technical skills and attend sponsored training classes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to dealership policies for workspace cleanliness.
- Follow dealership safety procedures and Canadian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, including the use of PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe footwear, etc.), regular tool and equipment inspection, and the identification and reporting of any hazards to management.
- Perform other related duties as requested by management.
What You Bring:
- A valid 310S Automotive Service Technician License
- A valid Ontario Class ‘G’ Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract is required.
- Previous experience as licensed 310S Technician, with a strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

- Compensation: $30-34 per flat rate hour based on experience, plus production bonus eligibility. Earn up to $36 per flat rate hour upon successful completion of Hyundai Master Technician training.

- PBS Delear Management System: 1 year (preferred)
