Job description

We are looking for an exceptional team player ready to make a long-term career in pet care and grow with us. As our Assistant Manager, you will step into a true leadership position. You will bridge the gap between hands-on animal care and the business management side of the resort—focusing heavily on team leadership (HR), client relationships (Sales), and business optimization (Marketing).

Key Responsibilities

HR & Team Leadership: Oversee staff scheduling and attendance, lead team-building initiatives, supervise the daily shift, and ensure the team completes all tasks efficiently.
Operations & Protocol: Develop and refine facility protocols to keep our resort running at peak performance.
Sales & Client Experience: Act as the face of the resort. Handle client-facing duties, reply to emails/voicemails, book guests, and expertly navigate conversations with difficult clients to turn them into success stories.
Marketing & Business Optimization: Bring your ideas! We actively welcome fresh strategies for pet enrichment, local promotions, and business optimization to help us remain the best at what we do.
Direct Care Support: Assist the team with direct pet care, ensuring our high standards of safety, love, and enrichment are met every day.

What You Bring to the Table

Management Experience (Required): Proven experience in a managerial role with strong skills in supervision, protocol development, and staff scheduling.
The Hybrid Background (Highly Preferred): Previous experience in sales, marketing, or HR management, paired with a background as an Animal Care Attendant, Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Groomer, Obedience Instructor, or in Horse/Cattle/Farm management.
Communication & Tech Skills: Mandatory strong written and verbal communication skills. You must be highly computer proficient.
The Right Mindset: You are a dedicated team player who brings a positive attitude to a fast-paced environment.

Hours & Schedule

Full-Time: 30–40 hours per week.
Our Hours: We operate 7 days a week with a split-shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Please seriously consider these hours before applying, as this unique schedule is central to our daily operations.

Our split shifts are 7 am to 12 noon and 4 pm to 7 pm in the evening.
This means our Team is working on week days, weekends and holidays
