Location: 1221 Farewell St, Oshawa ON L1H 6N8
Shift: Rotational Day/Night Shifts

Position Overview

The General Labourer position at McAsphalt is the starting position of new employees with no previous
experience.

Reports to

The General Labourer works under the supervision of the Lead Hand operator, Production Manager or
Facility manager on the shift. Supervision is more direct until the labourer becomes familiar with the job
and requirements.

General Duties and responsibilities

General housekeeping, warehousing
Packaging product (filling drums, boxes, pails etc)
Assisting with production – Polymer Prod.
Loading/Unloading Trucks – Packaged
Assisting with production – Solution prep
Dipping Tanks
Forklift operation

Minimum Qualifications

Working Conditions

Rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights), weekends, and overtime as required
Seasonal schedule with potential temporary winter layoff
Facility environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols

Physical Requirements:

Standing for extended periods
Lifting and handling materials
Loading/unloading trucks and performing hands-on labour tasks
