Insurance Sales Representative

McFarlane Insurance | Desjardins Agency – Whitby, ON

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to develop a strong book of business, contribute to the agency’s growth, and build a rewarding career in a stable and respected industry.

This position is well-suited for both experienced sales professionals and high-potential individuals who are eager to learn, develop, and succeed in a performance-driven environment.

The Opportunity

This is a proactive, sales-focused role centered on business development, relationship management, and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Prospecting and developing new business opportunities through outbound outreach
Building and maintaining a pipeline through referrals, networking, and community engagement
Establishing strong relationships with clients and local business partners
Assessing client needs and presenting tailored insurance solutions
Consistently managing follow-up and pipeline activity to drive results
Providing ongoing client support to strengthen relationships and generate future opportunities
Representing the agency professionally within the community
Commitment to a positive teamwork environment

Success in this role is driven by initiative, consistency, and a commitment to delivering results.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

Proven Sales Capability or Strong Potential

Experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles is preferred
Alternatively, a strong willingness to learn and develop in a sales-driven environment

Professional Skills and Attributes

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence in initiating conversations and presenting solutions
Strong work ethic, accountability, and self-discipline

Additional Qualifications

OTL or LLQP license preferred
Willingness to obtain licensing with company support if not already licensed
