Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Hair Salon Coordinator/Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, and maintaining smooth daily operations within our salon. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.

Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
Manage appointment scheduling using salon management software and Microsoft Office tools
Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
Maintain accurate client records through data entry and filing systems
Process payments and handle billing using Milano or similar bookkeeping software
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing excellent customer support
Coordinate with stylists and staff to ensure timely service delivery
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and reception space
Support administrative tasks such as proofreading documents, managing calendars, and preparing reports
Assist with inventory management and supply ordering as needed

Experience

Previous office experience or administrative background preferred
Familiarity with Milano, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and data entry tasks
Experience in customer service roles, especially front desk or multi-line phone systems
Clerical experience including filing, proofreading, and organizational skills required
Strong typing skills and phone etiquette are essential for success in this role
Prior experience in a salon or hospitality environment is advantageous but not mandatory
