Full job description

Are you a Mobile Drill Technician looking for a new challenge? We are currently recruiting for multiple mining sites across Canada! Secure your future and contribute to the growth of a thriving industry!

Main Responsibilities:

Inspect, maintain, and repair drilling equipment and components used in mining operations.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on drilling machinery.
Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on drills and related equipment.
Read and interpret technical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and drilling system manuals.
Replace and adjust defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct pre-operational inspections and equipment startup procedures.
Work closely with operators to troubleshoot and optimize drilling performance.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams on-site.

Employment Conditions:

Rotational schedule based on the mining site (14-14).
12-hour shifts, alternating between day and night.
Competitive salary between $38.00 and $54.00/hour, based on experience and position.
Overtime paid at time and a half as per site policy.
Accommodation and meals provided on-site.
Transportation allowance provided.
Workwear allowance, provided twice a year.

Required Qualifications:

Diploma in Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, or Drilling Technology.
Experience in drill maintenance and repair, preferably in a mining environment.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read technical schematics and diagnose drilling system failures.
Underground or Surface Common Core Certification (an asset).
Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum).
Red Seal Certification (an asset).
Strong team spirit and adaptability to rotating schedules.
Experience in the mining industry (strong asset).
