Role Description: The Landscape Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Oshawa, ON. This position is responsible for installing and maintaining landscapes, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers; laying sod; mulching; weeding; and garden bed maintenance. The role may also involve operating landscaping equipment, assisting with hardscape installation (such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls), and performing general site cleanup. The Landscape Technician works closely with other team members to follow project plans, meet quality standards, and maintain safe work practices on residential job sites. Candidates should expect outdoor work in varying weather conditions and be prepared for physically active tasks.
Qualifications
- Practical landscaping skills, including planting, lawn care, garden maintenance, and basic hardscaping.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and light machinery commonly used in landscaping and construction.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions, read basic plans, and complete tasks to quality standards.
- Good physical stamina and readiness for outdoor work that involves lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a professional, customer-focused attitude on job sites.
- Previous experience in landscaping, masonry, or general construction is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Oshawa, ON job sites preferred.
