Full job description

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Journeyperson Powerline Technician (JPL) to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in powerline construction and maintenance, with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to safe work practices in utility environments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Certified Journeyperson Powerline Technician (JPL) Red Seal
Minimum 5 years of field experience
Valid DZ driver’s license (mandatory)
Current certifications in:
Working at Heights (WHA)
Utility Work Protection Code (UWPC)
Confined Space Entry
WHMIS
Strong understanding of safe work practices and utility construction standards
Ability to work in a team-oriented and safety-focused environment

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts
Weekend work may be required based on operational needs

Compensation:

Wages are in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement with the Union
