Job Summary
The Parts Advisor at Volvo Cars Larkeridge plays a crucial role in managing vehicle parts inventory, assisting internal and external customers, and supporting the service department. The Parts Advisor is also responsible for maintaining strong relationships with external customers, including repair shops, fleet operators, and independent mechanics.

Key Responsibilities
- Process parts orders via phone, email, or in person with accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with the Service Department to identify and source the correct parts for vehicles
- Provide precise pricing, availability, and delivery estimates for parts orders
- Maintain a well-organized and current inventory of parts and supplies
- Conduct regular stock audits and coordinate timely reordering as needed
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying deliveries and updating inventory records
- Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure parts availability aligns with repair schedules
- Source and manage special-order parts for vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Monitor back-orders to ensure prompt follow-up and delivery
- Accurately process and document warranty parts in compliance with manufacturer requirements
- Utilize dealership management software to track inventory, generate invoices, and complete transactions
- Maintain detailed records of parts sold, used, returned, or exchanged
- Coordinate and oversee deliveries to wholesale customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensure adherence to dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines at all times
Skills & Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive parts, brands, and industry developments
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Parts Advisor, wholesaler, or in a related role within a dealership or parts distribution environment
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency with dealership inventory management systems (experience with CDK preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an asset
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles
- Ability to safely lift and handle automotive parts weighing up to 25 lbs
