Job Title: Flat Bed Laser Programmer/Operator.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking skilled flat bed laser programmer/operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming flat bed laser machines, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. As a flat bed laser programmer and operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining the equipment to fabricate metallic parts according to drawing specifications.

Responsibilities:

Program and operate a BLM LS5 flat bed laser machine using BLM’s Lantek software.

Program and operate Mazak flat bed laser using Radan software.

Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models based on specifications and requirements provided by engineering and design teams.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.

Set up materials and ensure machine calibration for accurate cutting.

Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues as needed.

Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in programming and interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings.

Proficiency in CAD software (i.e., AutoCAD, Inventor.) and Lantek software.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine or programming issues.

Knowledge of workplace safety and handling industrial machinery.

Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills

Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude

Good communication and teamwork skills

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in machining or related field preferred.

Minimum 5 - 7+ years of experience required.

Forklift license and experiance an asset.
