Job description:

Hiring: Sheet Metal TIG Welder
Location: Pickering, ON Shift: 3:30 pm to 1:30 am Afternoon shift
Wage: $20–$30 per hour(Based on experience)

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in TIG welding (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding – GTAW), with a strong focus on sheet metal fabrication.
Demonstrated expertise in executing precise welds on thin-gauge materials (under 1/8 inch), such as stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
Proficient in tack welding and independently assembling components with little to no supervision.
Capable of reading blueprints.
Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel sheet metal
Weld thin-gauge materials with minimal distortion and high cosmetic standards
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Set up welding equipment and adjust settings for optimal performance
Fabricate, fit, and assemble sheet metal components
Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards are met
Grind, polish, and finish welds as required
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow safety procedures and company welding standards

Required Qualifications

5+ years of TIG welding experience (sheet metal preferred)
Experience welding thin-gauge materials (16–24 gauge or thinner)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication measurements
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Familiarity with press brakes, shears, or other fabrication equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
