Full job description

Sabourin Kimble & Associates Ltd. is a medium sized consulting engineering firm specializing in municipal and water resource engineering to the land development industry. The firm has been operating in Durham Region since 1988 with projects throughout the GTA and surrounding areas. The company maintains a team-oriented environment with many opportunities for advancement. Sabourin Kimble & Associates Ltd.'s mandate is to provide a high level of service, which will assist all clients towards the successful conclusion of their projects.

The successful candidate must have the technical and interpersonal skills to carry out a variety of water resources projects including watershed modeling, master servicing and functional servicing projects, surface hydrology, stormwater management, watercourse hydraulics, floodplain management, erosion assessment, Low Impact Development (LID) techniques and construction sedimentation control. Familiarity with the processes of local Conservation Authorities, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and the Ministry of the Environment will be an asset. A thorough working knowledge of water resources computer software is essential. The successful candidate must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The candidate must have knowledge of water resources computer software such as Visual OTTHYMO, SWMHYMO, HEC-RAS, PC SWMM, and OTTSWMM. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Excel and MS Word would also be an asset.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Water Resource Engineering or a civil technology/technician diploma with related experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
