King EPCM is looking to fill a full-time position as Civil Engineering Drafting Manager, focused on the discipline of Municipal Grading & Servicing projects. This position is for a senior and experienced engineering designer or P.Eng. to independently create civil engineering drawings, such as drainage grading plans, municipal servicing plans, SWM facilities, and industrial / residential sub-divisions. Under the direct guidance of the Principal Engineer, the Engineering Manager is expected to independently complete projects related to their field of expertise. The position is also expected to manage and assist other team members, including drafters, junior engineers, and coordinate with in-house field crew.

Salary range depends on experience level, estimated around $110,000 ~ $145,000/year. Full suite of health benefits and flexible working schedule / remote working.

Creation of site grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and other site plans
Creation of municipal servicing plans, such as sanitary sewer, stormwater sewer, and watermain
Evaluate and design stormwater management facilities, LIDs, or other infrastructures, design together with other P. Engs
Design of residential and industrial sub-divisions
Conduct periodic field visits and inspections as required
Other responsibilities related to Civil Engineering
Must demonstrate fluency and understanding in pipe servicing design first-principles knowledge
Must demonstrate full fluency in the English language and capable of writing professional reports with some minor peer-review
Must be physically fit to conduct field-visits, including in remote locations
Must have valid G driver’s license and personal vehicle, willing to travel to project site

Can you be 100% independent (with no supervision or training) perform and draft site grading plans, engineering servicing plans, inspect and review topographic surveys, and other senior technical details?

Experience:

Civil 3D: 5 years (required)
Lot and Grading design in Canada: 10 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

Professional Engineer Designation from PEO? (preferred)
