Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic tests and inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues
-
Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and related vehicle systems
-
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, inspections, and component replacements
-
Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs and adjustments
-
Follow client and manufacturer procedures, specifications, and safety requirements
-
Document repairs, maintenance actions, and parts usage accurately
-
Communicate vehicle status, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
-
Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow
-
Stay current with evolving automotive technologies and service practices
Required qualifications:
-
Proficient in Global Connect or similar
-
Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and work independently or with other team members
-
Ability to identify unique situations and escalate accordingly
-
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
-
Proficient with MDI client technician tool
-
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
-
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
-
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
-
Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
-
Ability and willingness to work in a cross functional environment
-
Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
-
Experience with vehicle instrumentation and sensors
Preferred qualifications:
-
Basic Knowledge of Intrepid Vehicle Spy tool and software preferred
-
Demonstrated capabilities with electric vehicles
-
Demonstrated abilities providing mechanical and electrical solutions to new innovations
-
Previous General Motors vehicle experience
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 8 years of experience; must be independent, professional, and able to hit the ground running
-
Experience diagnosing client electric vehicles is a strong advantage, particularly with EV systems diagnostics
-
Must hold at least a 310S license (or equivalent); a valid G Class driver’s license is also required
-
Natural Gas and Propane Vehicle Certification preferred
-
Wrecker license and Class D (or higher) driver’s license preferred
Must-Haves:
-
Exceptional at vehicle systems diagnostics
-
Diagnosing troubleshooting systems
Preferred:
-
Proficiency with GlobalConnect, MDI, and GM diagnostic tools
-
Experience with vehicle instrumentation and sensors
-
Qualifications include EV capabilities and electrical/mechanical innovation support
