K.P.C. Power Electrical Ltd. is looking for a “PROJECT MANAGER, INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION” to join our team. The Project Manager will contribute to getting construction projects through Business Development support efforts and lead people in the Industrial Construction group who need additional support to complete the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the delivery of assigned projects to meet budget, timelines, and quality requirements, while maintaining a team approach within the Industrial Construction group.
· Ongoing tracking of progress on projects from a cost and schedule perspective.
· Provide oversight and direction to ensure materials are being purchased cost-effectively and accurately to meet project deliverables within the division.
· Work closely with project coordinator and project estimator to support all quotations being made by collaborating in reviews of technical requirements to determine manpower.
· Keep project schedules updated with the support of the Industrial Construction team, project coordinator, and estimator as applicable.
· Represent KPC as a positive ambassador externally in the market at all times and continuously explore opportunities for all lines of business and share with leadership and Business Development teams.
· Provide timely and accurate communication of issues and resolutions in coordination with KPC team and vendors.
· Communication with Customers and Engineers in response to their requirements and as it relates to proactive communication required to maximize customer satisfaction.
· Manage and advocate with Customers, external engineers, and vendors on technical requirements and work closely with them in a coordinated manner to deliver quality and cost-effective projects.
· Actively support KPC field teams to ensure their work can be carried out accurately and at a high standard of quality.
· Working with group project coordinator and Industrial Construction team to collaboratively create the ongoing work schedule.
· Prepare regular summary reporting for KPC leadership team to understand project progress, current and anticipated issues, and mitigation.
· Regularly visit active project sites to maintain a firsthand understanding of the issues at site, and to enable a clear understanding of site progress and issues.
· Provide scope and review with subcontractors to obtain quotations for work and coordinate schedules.
· Work collaboratively across the KPC organization to support all Company initiatives as applicable.
· Support Business Development and Industrial services divisions with the preparation of RFP response documents, including pricing build-ups for review and to go into customer proposals when needed.
· Provide support for short-term turnaround quotation requirements for non-RFP proposal requirements.
· Maintain regular contact with vendors for pricing, quotations, and lead time requirements.
· Prepare, attend, and contribute to project kick-off meetings with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal KPC HSE team and demonstrate leadership.
· Attend site visits as part of bidding potential work and preparing quotations and proposals as required.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
· Detailed knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong construction and safety knowledge
· Knowledge of accounting principles, numerical aptitude
· Detail-oriented and ability to develop, implement, and control projects and manage budgets effectively
· Proficient in MS OFFICE (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
· Minimum of 5-10 years related experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the electrical distribution industry
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
· Post-secondary education in a technical discipline or equivalent knowledge and/or experience in the electrical distribution industry
· Specialized training courses in a related field
· Management/Supervisory professional development courses
· Project Management experience an asset

Pay: $85,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
