Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated 1st, 2nd,3rd or 4th year Apprentice Carpenter to join our construction team. This position offers hands-on experience in various carpentry and construction projects, providing a foundation for a rewarding career in the building trades. The Apprentice Carpenter will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters and project managers to develop essential skills and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship across diverse projects, including restoration, siding, concrete forming, and more.

Duties

Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution
Learn and perform tasks related to concrete forming, concrete finishing, and framing
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
Support the installation of siding, woodwork, and other building components
Participate in heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow
Assist with woodworking tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
Support renovation projects by preparing surfaces and assisting with repairs
Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking techniques is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor throughout the workday
Strong interest in carpentry, construction, and building trades with a desire to develop technical skills
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Prior experience with concrete forming or finishing, siding installation, or heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
Must be at least 18 years old and able to adhere to safety standards on job sites
