Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and installation techniques including torch on, as well as the ability to work safely at heights. The Roofer will play a vital part in ensuring the quality of roofing structures while adhering to project specifications and industry standards. This role may require out of town work, generally worked on a 3 and 1 or 2 and 2 rotation. Additional compensation will be provided for out of town work.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and replace roofing materials on commercial buildings.
Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment efficiently and safely
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment as needed
Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing roofs and perform necessary repairs
Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in flat roofing is required
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and practices
Handyman experience is a plus
Physical stamina to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform manual labor for extended periods
Valid driver’s license is preferred for job site access
Prior experience with blueprint reading is advantageous
