Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Building Maintenance - Facilities Coordinator to oversee the upkeep and operational efficiency of our facilities. This vital role combines management, technical expertise, and leadership to ensure that all building systems function seamlessly, creating a safe, comfortable, and productive environment for staff and visitors alike. The Facilities Coordinator will coordinate maintenance activities, supervise maintenance staff, and collaborate with various teams to uphold high standards of facility management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead industrial maintenance initiatives, implement projects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our facilities.

Responsibilities

Manage daily building maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical systems, low voltage wiring, mechanical components, and general facility upkeep.
Supervise and lead maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
Develop and oversee maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment uptime and reduce downtime.
Coordinate projects related to facility upgrades or renovations, ensuring adherence to schematics, safety standards, and project timelines.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems; interpret schematics and technical manuals for effective repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical work, HVAC systems, low voltage wiring, and industrial maintenance procedures.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and project documentation for accountability and continuous improvement.

Skills

Strong management skills with experience supervising maintenance teams or contractors in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Proven project management abilities with a focus on planning, executing, and completing facility-related projects efficiently.
Mechanical knowledge of building systems including HVAC units, electrical panels (low voltage), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics interpretation.
Familiarity with CMMS software for work order tracking and maintenance planning.
Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and team coordination.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safety-conscious work environment.
Electrical experience combined with understanding of industrial maintenance practices; knowledge of low voltage systems is a plus.
Experience supervising or managing facility operations within manufacturing environments; familiarity with industrial schematics is advantageous.
