Full Time Pastry Cook

Both positions are primarily morning positions, with occasional flexibility required based on production and business needs.

Baker Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Baker to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of baking fundamentals, takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality products, and enjoys working in a scratch-made, professional kitchen.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare, mix, scale, shape, proof, and bake a variety of breads and baked goods according to established recipes and production standards.
Prepare products such as breads, buns, rolls, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods.
Accurately measure and scale ingredients according to recipes and daily production requirements.
Monitor dough consistency, fermentation, proofing, baking times, and temperatures to ensure consistent results.
Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
Prepare and package finished products for café service, catering, and delivery.
Follow daily production schedules and ensure products are completed on time.
Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
Clean and properly maintain baking equipment and kitchen areas.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Assist with inventory management and monitor ingredient and supply levels.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and pastry teams to meet daily production needs.

Experience & Qualifications

Previous professional baking experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, and baking methods.
Ability to consistently follow recipes and production schedules.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Highly motivated, dependable, and willing to learn.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices.
Previous experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, or catering environment is an asset.
Baking or culinary education is an asset.

Pastry Cook Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and motivated Pastry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for pastry and desserts, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality products consistently in a professional kitchen environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, desserts, and specialty items according to established recipes and production standards.
Prepare products such as tarts, cookies, muffins, cakes, laminated pastries, creams, fillings, and other desserts.
Accurately scale and prepare ingredients while following recipes and production requirements.
Decorate and finish cakes, pastries, and desserts with attention to detail and visual appeal.
Maintain consistency in quality, portioning, texture, flavour, and presentation.
Prepare and package finished products for café display, catering, and delivery.
Follow daily production schedules and ensure products are completed on time.
Assist with seasonal and specialty pastry and dessert production.
Collaborate with the pastry and kitchen teams to ensure smooth and timely production.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
Clean and properly maintain pastry equipment and kitchen areas.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredient and supply levels.

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in a professional pastry kitchen, bakery, café, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of pastry and baking techniques.

Experience with cake decorating and finishing is highly desirable.

Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Previous catering or high-volume production experience is an asset.
