Full job description

Ki Cafe, a Japanese-inspired cafe located beside Royal Oak Skytrain Station in Burnaby, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team. We specialize in bubble tea, house-baked desserts, freshly made waffles, and home-style meals. We are currently looking for cafe staff with a passion for customer service and availability during mornings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

Warmly greet customers upon their arrival
Take detailed orders, paying attention to customer preferences (e.g., coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
Prepare food and beverages according to established recipes
Serve beverages and food to customers
Handle payment transactions accurately and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of the cafe, including cleaning and dishwashing duties
Ensure the kitchen is tidy and organized

Requirements:

Strong communication and listening skills
Previous experience as a Barista is preferred
Proficiency in operating brewing equipment
Knowledge of sanitation regulations and practices
Flexibility to work various shifts, with preference given to those with weekday afternoon/evening availability
Ability to gauge and cater to customers' preferences
