Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Tile Setter Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tile installation and construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist skilled tradespeople in preparing work sites, handling materials, and supporting the installation of tile and flooring. This role is perfect for individuals interested in building a career in construction, with a focus on tile laying and related trades.

Duties

Assist with the preparation of surfaces for tile installation, including cleaning and leveling floors or walls
Handle and organize hand tools and materials needed for tile setting projects
Support the installation of tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces following project specifications
Read and interpret blueprints and layout plans to ensure accurate placement of tiles
Mix and apply adhesives, grout, and caulking as required for proper tile adhesion and finishing
Perform basic carpentry tasks related to framing or subfloor preparation when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by properly disposing of debris and tools
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or handyman work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
Basic understanding of flooring installation, tile laying, blueprint reading, and carpentry is a plus
Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions accurately
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety protocols
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is advantageous but not required
Willingness to learn new skills and contribute as part of a team
