Full job description

We are looking to hire a reliable, motivated, and task-oriented Office/Accounting Coordinator for our Cornwall office. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and capable. They must have a great ability to multi-task while maintaining complex schedules and managing administrative support. The individual must be capable of managing their workload while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced and growing corporate environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting management in the implementation and execution of tasks, goals, and responsibilities.
Monitoring progress of all open and ongoing jobs and projects in the region, and providing daily progress reports directly to upper management.
Manage workflow and ensure that deadlines are met and work is completed correctly and efficiently.
Assist in training staff members and new hires
Implement and monitor programs as directed by management, and see the programs through to completion.
Generate memos, emails and reports when appropriate.
Maintain office supplies by checking inventory and order items.
Respond to questions and requests for information.
Thorough and demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards, financial controls, and their application to financial accounting and reporting
Good abilities with Microsoft Office
Experience using Quickbooks will be an asset

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Ability to commute to our Cornwall office on a daily basis.
Fluently bilingual in both French and English considered an asset.
Self-motivated and reliable.
Attention to detail and ability to catch discrepancies in data Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and Google Sheets.
Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency.
Creative problem-solving.
Ability to work under pressure.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
1-2 years of experience in an accounting role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
