Full job description

Jiffy Auto Service is currently seeking a new full-time Lube/Tire Technician to join our staff at our Cornwall, ON location.

Lube/Tire Technicians perform a variety of tasks to assist in the repair and maintenance of customer vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery. Lube/Tire Technicians may also perform car detailing functions as required. Lube/Tire Technicians hold a crucial position in our shop as they interact directly with our customers and can influence a customer’s impression of our business.

As a member of our staff the Lube/Tire Technician will assist shop technicians with minor repairs (as required), provide exceptional service to each and every customer, perform light shop maintenance duties and will also:

Inspect, repair and replace tires
Complete required paper work in an accurate, legible and timely manner
Keep shop manager informed of any problems regarding the shop or customer related matters
Maintain a well-organized and professional work area
Work at our front counter
Act as a delivery driver when needed
Work outside (in various weather conditions)
Complete other related duties as required

We are looking for a candidate that has exceptional customer service skills, is dedicated, passionate, in addition to:

Possessing a Commercial Ontario wheel installers certificate
Outstanding sales expertise
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Prior experience in auto service, tires and maintenance (an asset)
Working knowledge of tires, tools and equipment
Ability to demonstrate dexterity with hand tools
Strong work ethic
Confidence and aptitude to operate independently in a supervised capacity
Experience working in a team-based environment
Adaptability and demonstrated readiness to succeed in assigned tasks
Excellent time management skills
Comfortable performing heavy lifting
Valid Driver’s license
Mechanical aptitude
