Spring Honda is seeking an experienced, Honda-trained technician to join our team as a Working Shop Foreman / Senior Honda Diagnostic Technician.
This is a key leadership position for an accomplished technician who wants more than another flat-rate role. The successful candidate will help lead our shop, support and develop our technicians, resolve complex diagnostic concerns, improve workflow and quality control, and work closely with our Service Manager and dealership ownership to take the department to the next level.
The position combines hands-on technical work with shop leadership. Approximately 50%–65% of the role will involve diagnosing and completing repairs, with the remaining time focused on mentoring technicians, assisting with difficult repairs, monitoring quality, managing workflow and helping establish strong shop processes.

Diagnose and repair complex Honda mechanical, electrical, drivability, hybrid and high-voltage concerns

Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and apprentices

Assist with shop workflow, work distribution and prioritization

Perform quality-control inspections and help reduce comebacks

Support first-time fix performance and accurate repair-order documentation

Ensure warranty repairs and technical documentation meet Honda standards

Coach technicians on diagnostic processes, efficiency and repair quality

Help develop apprentices and create individual training plans

Monitor work in progress and help ensure repairs are completed accurately and on schedule

Promote a professional, organized and safety-focused shop environment

Work with the Service Manager and ownership to identify opportunities to improve productivity, capacity and customer satisfaction

Base wage of $45–$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Guaranteed 40-hour workweek

First-year earnings floor of $100,000, excluding relocation and signing incentives

Quarterly performance bonus based on shop productivity, repair quality, technician development and operational performance

Expected annual earnings of approximately $100,000–$140,000, with additional upside based on performance and overtime

Up to $10,000 in relocation assistance

$10,000 signing and retention bonus, paid in stages

Significant Honda or Acura dealership experience

Proven ability to mentor apprentices and support other technicians

Consistent focus on repair quality and first-time fix performance

Previous shop foreman or team-lead experience is preferred but not required
We are also interested in speaking with senior Honda or Acura diagnostic technicians who may not currently hold a formal foreman title but are already acting as the technical leader or mentor within their shop.
