Key Responsibilities:
Intake & Admissions:
- Analyze and assess individuals’ application information to determine suitability and support needs.
- Collaborate with referral sources, accompanying resources, and program services for optimal client assessment.
- Manage participant/bed numbers and waitlist.
- Conduct intake procedures, screening, assessment, and orientation.
Documentation & Coordination:
- Maintain documentation and files in compliance with accreditation standards and funder expectations.
- Participate in referral procedures and case conferencing within a continuum of care.
- Maintain working relationships with partner First Nations and agencies.
- Current knowledge of mental health systems and substance use legislation.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Social Services, Addictions, Mental Health, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in intake, admissions, or program coordination within a health, social services, or treatment setting.
- Proficiency in word processing, statistical software, and relevant applications.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or FNHA-funded programs is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of substance use treatment systems and referral pathways.
- Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practices.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Due to the nature of this role working with individuals in early recovery, the successful candidate must demonstrate a sustained period of personal recovery and stability sufficient to safely and effectively perform the responsibilities of the position for a minimum of 1 year.
Pay: $54,883.00-$71,010.00 per year
